Evidence-Based Research
Advocacy without data is just an opinion. NASCOH conducts the research that drives national change .
We act as a data-driven bridge between the disability community and Zimbabwe’s decision-makers. We conduct nationwide situational analyses across all 10 provinces to influence policy and infrastructure. We then gather evidence to ensure that support reaches those who need it most. This data serves to:
- Direct Funding: Influencing how the government allocates budgets for disability services.
- Address Modern Risks: Identifying how issues like climate change specifically affect rural persons with disabilities.
- Give Voice to the Marginalized: Documenting the unique challenges faced by women and children within the disability community.
- Legislation: Helping government ministries draft disability-friendly laws.
- Infrastructure: Working with developers to ensure new buildings and projects are accessible from the start.
- Inclusion: Advising on major national events (like the National Disability Expo 2025) to ensure full participation for all attendees.
